The effectiveness of using some Arabic language teaching strategies in developing language fluency and verbal interaction skills for visually impaired secondary school students.

Master Abstract

The thesis aimed at: measuring the effectiveness of using some Arabic language teaching strategies in developing language fluency and verbal interaction skills for visually impaired secondary school students. The basic study group consisted of seventeen students who are visually impaired first-year secondary school students at Al-Noor School for the Blind in Al-Arba'een, Assiut Governorate. To achieve the main objective of the study, some study tools prepared by the researcher were used. which is next : 1- A list of appropriate language fluency skills for visually impaired first year secondary school students. 2- A test of language fluency skills, to determine the effectiveness of using some Arabic language teaching strategies in developing these skills for visually impaired first grade secondary school students. 3- The note card for Flanders, in order to measure the verbal interaction in the classroom during teaching using the proposed teaching strategies This study resulted in the following results: - Finding a list of the appropriate language fluency skills for the visually impaired first year secondary school students. - The results of the research showed the effectiveness of using the proposed teaching strategies in developing the language fluency skills of visually impaired first grade secondary school students. - The results of the research showed the effectiveness of using the proposed teaching strategies in developing the verbal interaction of visually impaired first year secondary school students (the study group).

PHD Title

The effectiveness of a program based on metacognitive strategies in developing verbal and situational linguistic responses and the self- academic among students with visual disabilities.

PHD Abstract

The current study aimed to improve verbal situational language responses and self-academic among students with visual disabilities through an intervention program based on meta cognitive strategies. The sample of study consisted of (10) Second-grade secondary students with visual disabilities, their rang age was 13 – 15 years, and the tools of study was consisted of testing verbal situational language responses (Prepared by the researcher), and verbal situational language responses Analysis Card (Prepared by the researcher), and self-academic Scale. The study Results showed that compare to control group there was the intervention program of study was effective in developing verbal situational language responses and self-academic in the sample of study, as well as the follow assessment was show that the effective of intervention program was continued in developing verbal situational language responses and self-academic in the sample of study.
