A training Program based on Digital Stories On Improving Semantic Processing of Words And its Impact on Viual Comperhension In Children with Cochlear Implants
Abstract: This study investigated the effectiveness of a digital storytelling-based program in enhancing the semantic processing of words and its impact on visual comprehension among children with cochlear implants. Adopting a quasi-experimental design with a single experimental group, the study was conducted on a sample of four children with cochlear implants at Fekra Center in Beni Suef Governorate. The participants ranged in age from 6 to 8.5 years, with IQ scores between 80 and 85, an average age of 7.62 years, and a standard deviation of 1.1. The Research utilized three research instruments: The Semantic Processing of Words Scale for Children with Cochlear Implants, the Pictorial Visual Comprehension Scale for Children with Cochlear Implants, and the Digital Storytelling-Based Program, (prepared by the Researcher). The findings of the current Research demonstrated the effectiveness of the digital storytelling-based program in enhancing semantic word processing and improving visual comprehension in children with cochlear implants.
