A Training Program for Improving the Pragmatic Language among Children with Intellectual Disability in Mainstream Schools

Research Abstract

The current study was aimed to Improve the Pragmatic Language among Children with Intellectual Disability in primary Mainstream Schools through a Training program. The participants of the study consisted of (20) male and female children with Intellectual Disability in primary Mainstream Schools, whose ages ranged from (9.3) to (12.7) years with a mean aged of (10.9) years, and were divided into two groups (experimental – control). The study used the following tools: Colored Progressive Matrices Scale (Prepared by Raven's Translate by Emad Ahmed Hassan, 2016), Pragmatic Language Rating Scale for Children with Intellectual Disability (Prepared by the Researcher), A Training Program (Prepared by the Researcher). The result revealed development the pragmatic language for experimental group compared to control group after applying the training program.
