Effectiveness of a Training Program Based on Working Memory Strategies in Improving Vocabulary in a Sample of Children with ADHA

Research Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on working memory strategies in improving Vocabulary in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The study included a sample of 10 preschool children with ADHD, aged 5-6 years, with an average age of 5.6 years and a standard deviation of 0.63. The children were divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, with 5 children in each group. The researchers implemented the training program based on working memory strategies and developed a pictorial linguistic outcomes scale for children with ADHD to assess their linguistic level. The results demonstrated the effectiveness of the training program based on working memory strategies in improving the linguistic outcomes of children with ADHD and the sustained impact of the program after a follow-up period of one month.
