The Technological Competencies necessary to employ the Artificial Intelligence applications among people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and the degree to which teachers and therapists possess them
Master Abstract
Technological competencies are increasing in connection with the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is based on artificial intelligence applications as one of the requirements of technological progress in this era. Therefore, the study aimed to reveal the degree of teachers and therapists' possession of the technological competencies necessary to employ artificial intelligence applications among people with autism spectrum disorder, and to identify the impact of some variables such as: (gender, academic qualification, nature of work, age, regional distribution, and university qualification). and the number of participants was (468) teachers and therapists for autism spectrum disorder in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the governorates of Greater Cairo, Upper Egypt, and Lower Egypt. The study relied on the descriptive approach. and to collect data, the researcher used the scale of technological competencies necessary to employ artificial intelligence applications among people with autism spectrum disorder (by/the researcher). The results of the study concluded that the degree of teachers and therapists' possession of the technological competencies necessary to employ artificial intelligence applications among people with autism spectrum disorder came at an average level with an arithmetic mean (2.88), and the competency of technological communication in the field of artificial intelligence applications came in first place with an arithmetic mean (3.70), and the competency of employing artificial intelligence applications came in last place with a low level with an arithmetic mean (2.21), and the results indicated that there were no differences in Statistical significance in the degree of possession of technological competencies according to the variable of gender, nature of work, academic qualification and university qualification, with statistically significant differences according to the variable of regional distribution of the workplace in favor of the governorates of Greater Cairo, and according to the variable of age, the differences were in favor of those aged (20-30) years. The study concluded that it is necessary to develop technological competencies for teachers and therapists for autism spectrum disorder so that they can use artificial intelligence applications effectively.
