The Effectiveness of A Training Program in Developing Some Classification Skills for Children with Autism

Master Abstract

ABSTRACT Researcher's Name: Mohamed Badr Said Abass Title: The Effectiveness of A Training Program in Developing Some Classification Skills for Children with Autism. Location of The study: Beni-Suef University, Faculty of Education, Department of Psychology and Mental Health. Summary: The current study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a training program in Enhancing Some of Classification Skills with Autistic Children. The study sample consisted of (8) aus c children were divided into two groups, one of them experimental consisn g of (4) children (3 males and one female) Association of "A new life", and the other control group consisng of (4) children (2 females) Association "Al nou" in Beni Suef, (2 males) Associao n "Awldna" in Beni Suef, their ages ranged from 9-12 years,, and IQ ranged from 57-6A. The Study used the following tools: a measure of Stanford- Binet Intelligence (fourth image ): (translation and localization/ Lewis malika, 1998), Measure of autistic child (prepared by/ Adel Abdullah, 2003), Measure of economic and social levels of the Egyptian family: (prepared by/ Abdelaziz Elshahs, 2006), Measure of Classefication among children with autism (prepared by/ researcher), and the training program (prepared by/ researcher}. The researcher used Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon tests. Results of the study showed the effectiveness of the training program in developing some of classification skills, as well as the continuing effect of the program after the follow-up period.
