Master Abstract
- Introduction:
Childhood is considered as one of the most important stages of human life. It plays a determinant and significant role in building man's personality. Hence, much attention is paid to this life stage, especially, when surrounded by such universal changes that require more efforts to be exerted to achieve progress and enhancement for childhood future.
Since a long time, the developing countries have witnessed great attention paid to children in general, and especially, to the mentally handicapped children. That is because the human element in these societies is their real wealth. Accordingly, attention that is paid to develop the mentally handicapped child and modify his/her behavior is necessary for achieving those societies' development and prosperity.
Any confusion that may happens for relationship between the mentally handicapped child and his/her environment, is considered as the main stimulus for problems during this stage, which –in turn- leads to confusion of child's social and psychological balance.
Distinguishing in dealing or interaction between normal and abnormal pupils leads to feelings of oppression, injustice, and lack of satisfaction, which affects the psychological development and the academic achievement of the mentally handicapped pupils.
