PHD Title

Effectiveness of an Electronic Training Program on Reducing the Articulatory and Phonological Disorders among At-Risk Children for Learning Disabilities

PHD Abstract

The Risk for learning disabilities is considered a recent problem that has become common among a large group of children such as the kindergarten children and primary education pupils particularly at the early stages. These children behave in a way that predicts the future risk for learning disabilities. Articulatory and phonological disorders are of the indicatives that children are at-risk of learning disabilities. The articulatory disorders are represented by (substitution- omission- addition- distortion) and the phonological disorders are represented by the difficulty of (phonetic recognition - phonetic blending - phonetic analysis - rhythm identification). Moreover, articulatory and phonological disorders have prominent effects on learning disabilities so that they have become the interests of many studies particularly on early stages of primary education. Children suffering from articulatory and phonological disorders are likely to show low literacy when they join advanced levels of primary education. In the current study, the researcher prepared an electronic training program to reduce the articulatory and phonological disorders for at-risk of learning disabilities children.
